Lord Father God of Abraham, maker of heaven and earth, this is a new bright day of the month and a blessed chance to experience more of your goodness and to drink of the river of life, powered by your grace and not of our power! To the days ahead we surrender all to you mighty Lord and wonderful Savior. We do not take for granted the gift of life for you are the source of our breath.
We thank you for the work of our hands and pray that you water our lands to yield fruit in and out of season. We cancel any of the enemy’s weapon- for as you say, “ no weapon forged against you will prevail, and you will refute every tongue that accuses you. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and this is their vindication from me,” declares the LORD” (Isaiah 54:17).
At midpoint of 2023 help us to pause and renew our spirit for the next half of the year. Your rich word says, “those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint” ( Isaiah 40:31). Help us in this amazing journey of life to be discerning of your will and in the midst of conflicting paths seize the right direction.
Help us walk closer with you for where else to look but you alone the living God! Help us to know what to value most, which is knowing you more as our wonderful creator God. All around us are wars and conflicts raging on but in the midst of all we look up to you for shelter and guidance. Help us to walk in perfect obedience, for you say, “If you fully obey the Lord your God and carefully follow all his commands I give you today, the Lord your God will set you high above all the nations on earth.
All these blessings will come on you and accompany you if you obey the Lord your God: You will be blessed in the city and blessed in the country” ( Deuteronomy 28:1-3). So today as you part the doors of a new month and shower us with rays of life we walk out confidently in your blessing knowing that because of you, “in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us” ( Romans 8: 37)! And all this we pray in the mighty name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior!
