Lord Almighty Father God, we greet the month of October with thanksgiving! We are thankful for leading us through September, and we greet the gates of October anticipating a windfall of victory. You have been so good to us and have led us this far. Just as you led the Israelites through the wilderness and fed them throughout, we have seen your goodness ( Deut 2:7).
In this month, we pray for abundance. For as you say, “Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this,” says the Lord Almighty, “and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it” (Malachi 3:10). May our lives be filled with abundance of your goodness, beyond any measure!
We pray loving Father you open doors that had been closed, for you are the one “who opens and no one will shut, who shuts and no one opens” (Revelation 3:7). We pray for a tide of good news to envelope our lives, just as your word says: “How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of the messenger who brings good news, the good news of peace and salvation, the news that the God of Israel reigns” (Isaiah 52:7).
We pray for divine appointments, just as you directed Philip to meet the Ethiopian official and paved the way for him to share the Gospel (Acts 8:26). Where there are mountains standing in our way, we remember your word: “Truly I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be taken up and cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says is going to happen, it will be granted him” (Mark 11:23). So we speak to the mountains in our lives—mountains of job scarcity, poor health, financial hardships, and relationship struggles—and command them to be removed in Jesus’s name!
May October be filled with good days of joy, as your word said, “Fear you not; for I am with you: be not dismayed; for I am your God: I will strengthen you; yes, I will help you; yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness” (Isaiah 41:10). We welcome this month with a good report, walking in the spirit of the faithful who bring back fruit from the land (Numbers 13:26).
Sarround us with a hedge of protection, a ring of fire to guard our possesion, as you say, “May he send you help from the sanctuary and grant you support from Zion” (Psalm 20:2).
We pray for a manifold of blessings in our home, family, finances, and business. Strengthen us, and let this month be filled with overflowing joy, ideas, and creativity. We pray in Jesus’s name, Amen.
