The commercialization of Christmas is well evident. Indeed to so many people Christmas is not about Jesus; rather, it is all about end year festivals and a time for shop owners to make money. Cards are sent out hardly mentioning Jesus but as only end of year greetings! The Christmas tree goes up but not reflecting anywhere the scene of nativity.

Yes of course, December 25th, is not like the true birthday of Jesus! But in the Christian calendar this is the day set aside to remember Jesus’s coming on earth to die and save our sins. So for many believers this is an important day to celebrate God’s visitation to earth.

Well, the world may have her view of Christmas and be quite in a hurry to hide Jesus or push him away from the Christmas tree. But to believers Christmas comes as that reminder that God never forsook the world. That is why it was projected of his coming by prophet Isaiah. Let’s honor Jesus this Christmas.

Prayer for today: Lord Father in heaven, today I pray that I remember Christmas is all about you and your love.
