“Taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the one who takes refuge in him” – (Psalm 34:8).m

In every school yard it is common to find kids taunting each other with clenched fists while teasing “try me!” Sometimes it is a bully who is daring any around. In fact one can even throw a soft blow at an opponent and jeer back, “Feel that! Try me!”

Well, the Almighty God is also saying - “Try me! Hebrews 3:9 reminds us- “where your ancestors tested and tried me, though for forty years they saw what I did.” Then Malachi 3:10 says, “Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this,” says the Lord Almighty, “and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it.” This seems like a direct challenge from the Almighty to pour out His love based on the extent of our faith in Him.

School yard bullies taunt other kids with “try me” to prove their insecure sense of power. When the Almighty God says “try me” He does not have to prove anything. He has all the power. It’s up to you to take up the challenge.

Today, why not take up the Almighty God who says, “try me” that you may experience His full blessings for you are His own child!

Prayer for today: Lord Father God of Abraham, maker of heaven and earth, you say, “try me” that may I taste and see your goodness, in the land of the living,” and for this I pour out my faith to you, that I may see your goodness in the land of the living, this I pray in Jesus’s name!
