“The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness” - Lamentations 3:22-23 (NIV)
After experiencing a long draught the rains finally arrived. For most of those kids who had been looked up inside doors it was time to get out and enjoy the cascades of water flushing out on them. The kids were ecstatic full of joy for seeing the rains back again.
This might be the same experience as people get out of the lockdown and return back to work. That one has survived a pestilence is something good enough to pause and praise God.
Such times of pausing to praise God are not unique. When the Ark of the Lord was brought to the city, “David danced before the Lord with all his might, wearing a priestly garment. So David and all the people of Israel brought up the Ark of the Lord with shouts of joy and blowing of ram’s horns” (2 Samuel 6: 14-15, NIV).
Let us pause today and praise God for His goodness, and all He has seen us through!
Prayer for today: Lord God of Abraham in heaven, today I give you praise for you have been so good to me!
