“and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely, I am with you always to the very end of the age” –( Mathew 28:20)

If journey is not going to plan the feeling of abandonment can arise. And as we wind up 2033 such a feeling might strike one. Perhaps one might think God left him out in the cold.

Where you think so, there are numerous comforting statements where God promises us He will be with us through whatever upheavals. “Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave nor forsake you” (Deut 31:6). These words were spoken to Joshua as he took on the leadership mantle from Moses whom the Lord had seen to the end.
Joshua would go on to win as many battles, keeping true to the words of the Lord over his life. “Now then, just as the Lord promised, he has kept me alive for forty -five years since the time he said this to Moses, while Israel moved about in the wilderness. So, here am I today, eighty five years old! I am still as strong today as the day Moses sent me out; I am just as vigorous to go to battle as then” (Joshua 14:10-11).

Today, as you pass through whatever upheavals, know that just the Lord Almighty walked with Joshua, He will never leave you but walk with you!

Prayer for today: Lord God Father God of Abraham, maker of heave and earth, today I pray to hold on to your words that you will be with me to the very end, this I pray in Jesus’s name!
