BE STEADFAST!

“My heart is steadfast, O God, my heart is steadfast;l I will sing, yes, I will sing praises!” ( Psalm 57:7).

When we speak of someone who fell from grace only to rebound there is a man called Job. It is said, “He had seven sons and three daughters, and he owned seven thousand sheep, three thousand camels, five hundred yoke of oxen and five hundred donkeys, and had a large number of servants. He was the greatest man among all the people of the East” ( Job 1:1-3)

Howevever, fate befell Job one day, when Satan pleaded for his blood and cried, “stretch out your hand and strike everything he has, and he will surely curse you to your face” ( vv 11).

Suddenly, the man who had it all untold fate was at his door. Pushed to the ropes, one day Job’s wife sheered, “Are you still maintaining your integrity? Curse God and die!” ( Job 2:9).

Here lets pause! In life there are those who have been at the height of society. Suddenly there are pushed out of power and reduced to ruins. For some they might have been enjoying robust health only one day to find all energy gone because of some cruel disease!

But down and in agony, Job ignored all and responded: “I will continue to trust God even if he kills me” ( Job 13:15).

This story ends well because Job’s fortune would finally be restored Like Job, you too might find yourself in a hopeless situation of fall from grace But because of your steadfast faith, God will ultimately vindicate you! For “those who trust in the LORD will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint” ( Isiah 40:31).

Prayer today: Lord Father God, maker of heaven and earth, for whatever challenge I may face, may my faith in you remain as steadfast as a rock, because you will vindicate me and take all the glory, this I pray in Jesusu’s name!
