"Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me" - 2 Cor 12:19 (NIV).

Management is a discipline that studies how organisations can be run effectively and efficiently to meet their goals. Sometimes organizations aspire for a bright future and develope strategic plans outlining their proposed direction. Normally the process of developing a strategic plan must involve undertaking a SWOT analysis.

In this analysis the organisation must appraise its strength in order to tap into them but also have a clear admissions of its weakness. Perhaps some would argue why not stop at strengths and just develop these further. An assessment of weaknesses is important because without addressing them they will pose a threat and deny the organisation to seize opportunities out there.

Just as with organisation every life has a certain dose of weaknesses. It would be a mistaken idea of self importance to imagine that you are so good in every area of life without a trace of defect. Anyone who aspires to develop must every now and then take a stock of his weakness and come up with strategies to overcome them.

In the Bible we come across one man who was quick to admit his weakness. When God called Moses out of the bush to lead the Israelites, "Moses said to the LORD, “Pardon your servant, Lord. I have never been eloquent, neither in the past nor since you have spoken to your servant. I am slow of speech and tongue" (Exodus 4:10).

After pleading this weakness the Lord answered, "What about your brother, Aaron the Levite? I know he can speak well. He is already on his way to meet you, and he will be glad to see you. You shall speak to him and put words in his mouth; I will help both of you speak and will teach you what to do" (vv 14- 15).

In your life and endeavours you too might have observed a certain weakness because there is no such thing like a perfect life. Just as with Moses take a stock and admit your weaknesses to Him. Then the Lord will guide you how to manage that weakness to become more fruitful in your life.

Prayer for today: Lord Father God of Abraham, maker of heaven and earth, you who created me know all my weaknesses which I bring to you that you help me overcome, for your glory, this I pray in Jesus's name.
