A decree of victory
" I will proclaim the Lord’s decree: He said to me, “You are my son; today I have become your father" (Psalm 2:7).
At the height of the Idi Amin regime, one common feature were laws being passed as decrees. As there was no parliament the military dictator was a law unto himself and could pass any measure without going through normal checks. This is how in 1975 the Land decree was passed turning all land into state owned.
The definition of a decree is a "legal proclamation that has the force of law!" Incidentally, while they are normally issued by heads of state, believers in Christ can too- in their personal affairs. They are able because of the authority Christ left with them. Luke 10:9 says, "I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you"! And John 4:13 says, "And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son."
Based on this authority, today you can calling upon the name of Jesus, issue a decree of victory upon all your personal affairs. You can proclaim a decree of victory over your job, health, business, enemies, and any matter dear to you. Once a decree is passed it has to be obeyed, and will alter the course of your life in your favour.
Prayer today: Lord Father God of Abraham, maker of heaven and earth, today I rise to proclaim with my mouth a decree of victory in all my personal affairs, that your name may be glorified in me, this I pray in Jesus's name.
