“For I know the plans I have for you declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not harm you, plans to give you hope and a future” - Jeremiah 29:11 (NIV).

Imagine you are setting out on a journey and there are two people you meet. One tells you your journey will not come of anything. Another tells you your journey will bear much fruit.

When you hear these two voices you have a choice. Either to accept the ill wisher as yours being an already decided fate. Or to reject this prophet of doom and believe in the one who wishes you well!

As believers we will encounter prophets of doom who are everywhere. They speak such things like you will not make it because of your dim past! Other than cancelling such spells on your life some listen and believe that their fate is already sealed. However, there are those who remember the good words of the Lord, promises of blessings on their lives, and hold on to those.

The choice is yours, friend. Either you allow the lies of the devil to hold you down or to cancel whatever he says and just cling to Gods refreshing words of hope!

Prayer for today: Today I pray in the mighty name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth that I hold on to your glorious words of promise for a good future.
