“For I know the plans I have for you” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future” - Jer 29:11 (NIV)

I have often run into a problem that you too might have experienced. You go to an ATM without a plan and withdraw cash. You are happy and satisfied.

Immediately as you drive by some shops something of interest to buy comes up. You spend. Then someone calls needing help. You donate. Before you realize all your cash withdraw has gone into non priorities leaving you scratching your head and licking wounds.

Plans are good. To live a life without any plan risks wasting away one’s resources into an aimless and purposeless life. We need plans to have a sense of direction.

For Christians we are also reminded not only to plan but whenever to take all our plans first to the Lord. Then He will guide us into success. For just as it was said, “The horse is made ready for battle but victory rests with the Lord (Prov 21:13, NIV)

Prayer for today: Lord Father in heaven, today I pray in the mighty name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth that you take over all my plans and bless them.
