“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future” ( Jeremiah 29:11)

Once Jesus came across a blind man in the streets begging. As his disciples argued about his condition and state, Jesus did something uncoventional. “After saying this, he spit on the ground, made some mud with the saliva, and put it on the man’s eyes. “Go,” he told him, “wash in the Pool of Siloam” (this word means “Sent”). So the man went and washed, and came home seeing” ( John 9:6-7).

When he returned seeing, another argument rose, if he was the same man. “How then were your eyes opened?” they asked. He replied, “The man they call Jesus made some mud and put it on my eyes. He told me to go to Siloam and wash. So I went and washed, and then I could see” ( vv 11-10).

Something good had happened to that man. And it is because he had met Jesus!

There is a song widely sung in many Christian circles. It has some of the most beautiful lyrics, speaking of God’s good plans for us, regardless of circumstances. In some lyrics, it says, “When God’s people humble themselves and pray, He has promised all heaven.”

There is another lyric to this song, which goes, “Right there in the dust, he sat by the gate, To listen to footsteps and patiently wait. The blind man just didn't dream that this was the day. That Jesus of Nazareth would pass by his way.”

Like the blind man, you have sat out all day and night with a helpless condition. All aroud instead of empathy people are arguing about your case. You are the topic and focus for the wrong reasons. And it hurts. But Something good is going to happen to you. For Jesus of Nazareth is passing your way!

After the once blind man had told the crowd who had healed him, astonished they fell back, and asked, “Where is this man?” ( vv 12).

His name is Jesus, your friend, who comes to deliver something good to you today!

Prayer: Lord Father God of Abraham, maker of heaven and earth, today I start the day afresh with a song in my heart, something good is going to happen to me today, for you are passing by, this I pray in Jesus’s name!
