“The Lord gave and the Lord has taken away; may the name of the Lord be praised” - Job 21 (NIV)

Can you imagine rising up after a storm and giving praise. The story of Job who had it all is ever a kind reminder that anything can happen to even the most assured and blameless. Job was at the height of his life blessed with ranches live with stock and a happy family of 10 children. He lost all at ago.

How one reacts when pushed against the wall often reveals much of what they truly believe in. Job could have cursed God as he was spurred on by some of his friends. Instead he held steadfast. Eventuality his faith won him through. He was blessed even more.

Whatever trial you are going through be inspired like Job who gave praise in the midst of agony. There is clearly an enemy out and about who is eager to cause mischief and oppress believers. Do not give him way. Instead rise up and sing praises. For God is on your side and victory is on the way.

Prayer for today: Lord Father in heaven, today I rise to give you praise whatever the situation I am going through for I know you are on my side
