“That you may know that I am God!” - Exodus 10:2 (NIV)

Ever since the corona virus touched on earth there are many who have asked and wondered at why these plagues happen. Some have asked where God is!

In Uganda as was with nations around us a swarm of locusts had already caused much havoc. Before there had been a period of floods that left many marooned. Not long ago thousands were left in Eastern Uganda homeless due to mudslides.

Now changes in weather patterns have historically happened. There is also a long history of epidemics that have afflicted mankind. For one thing let us never forget that we live in a fallen world, in spite of all efforts by many to create heaven here on earth.

As believers we can all agree that the Almighty God is never caught off guard. He allows these calamitous events for a reason. One of that is to draw the cold hearts of men and women to Him. Where some thought they had mastered it all, suddenly they discover, how hopeless we all are, and need to look and depend on the Almighty God!

Prayer for today: Lord Father in heaven, today I pray in the mighty name of Jesus of Nazareth that with all the calamities we see happening all may draw their hearts to you the God of creation!
