Lord Father God of Abraham, maker of heaven and earth, we celebrate the passing of the month of August, as we gladly welcome September, in anticipation of bright victory. There has been a lot to thank you of August; and other past many moons that have slipped before us! Thank you for protection of our lives from the arrows of a roaming and humbling vicious virus. Only by your grace did we and continue to escape its poison. When we see nations shutting gates and coming up with all manner of concoctions to keep the virus at bay, of course we know all efforts of man without you are futile. May you grant us wisdom to lay all our plans for protection of our lives before you, that you go ahead of us wherever we may. Your word says, “Unless the Lord builds the house,  the builders labor in vain. Unless the Lord watches over the city, the guards stand watch in vain” (Psalm 127:1). In this new month we pray for opening of doors.  Your word says, “ I know all the things you do and I have opened a door for you that no one can close” (Revelation 3:8). You gave the prophet Isaiah a word which we embrace, “When he opens doors, no one will be able to close them, when he closes door no one will be able to open them” (Isaiah 22:22). Just as the Apostle Paul testified, “The Lord opened a door of opportunity for me” (2 Corinthians 2:12), in this month we pray for a festival of opportunities to enamel us. We pray for the work of our hands, “The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face shine on you and be gracious to you; the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace” (Numbers 6:24-26). Blessed one, watch over our families that no harm will touch any of us; for Psalm 23:4 says, “Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me” (Psalm 23:4). And all we pray, in the mighty and conquering name of Jesus Christ, King of Kings and Lord of all Lord!
