Lord Father God of Abraham, maker of heaven and earth, we come to you with thanksgiving as we enter mid-year of 2022. It is only by your power and grace that we are here for which we are grateful. Looking at the events around us everywhere we witness a rise in cost of living, this coming at the heels of the coronavirus pandemic. Meanwhile atrocious wars gather pace near and far plucking lives by the thousands. Such things as we see, the pain and suffering, can leave one confused, anxious and worried. But then we know your rich word which says, “Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me” (John 14:1, ESV). We are comforted for the Psalms say, “Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me” (Psalms 23:4). We therefore gladly look to bright days ahead. We lift up our families praying, for “He will spread his wings.

over you and keep you secure. His faithfulness is like a shield or a city wall” (Psalms 91:4 CEV).  In  the midst  of   lack,   we  shall be satisfied, remembering  your  word, “Fear the LORD, you His saints, for those who fear Him lack nothing” (Psalm 34:9). Our storehouses  shall  explode with abundance, for  as you  say, “The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face to shine upon you and be gracious to you; the Lord lift up his countenance upon you and give you peace” (Numbers  6: 24-26). If there is any  fear  in our  hearts, it will all melt away, knowing you  have said, “When I am afraid, I put my trust in you. In God, whose word I praise—in God I trust and am not afraid” (Psalms 56:3-4). May the victory longed for come true in June, because, you  have said, “but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint” (Isaiah 40:31). All this we pray in the blessed name of Jesus!
