"Where there is no vision, the people perish..". (Proverbs 29:18)

In the subject study of management a vision is described as a "desired future". For every leader it is important they have a vision - an idea where they want to take their people. But visions are not restricted to organizations. Just as well any person is expected to have a vision where he aspires to take his life to. For no life is expected to remain still. But with a vision one aspires to lift up his life to the next level.

There is a certain misunderstanding about visions. Should a vision be realistic, one may ask. The simple answer is no. Basically a vision is a lofty dream, which seems impossible to achieve, but yet with belief and persistent action is realised. It is a lot of work, of course. But believers in Christ, should know God says: "I am the Lord, the God of all mankind. Is anything too hard for me?" (Jeremiah 32:27)

Then also must a vision be realised in one's lifetime. Ideally it should. However, there are cases where a vision if it does not happen then it is passed on to the next generation who make it happen. For such was the case of King David who had a vision to build a Temple for the Lord. David was unable to realise this vision in his life for various reasons, some on account of his failings, yet God let him pass it on to his son, Solomon, who realised it. (I Kings 8)

God has given every child of his a certain vision, which is burning in the heart. Not only should you aspire to achieve it but share it with those who matter. And if it so happens that you don't realise it anytime soon as long as God is in it, fear not, for it will come to pass in good time.

Prayer today: Lord Father God of Abraham, maker of heaven and earth, thank you for the vision you have given me to change my life and take it to another level, and today I pray in due seasons, you let it pass, this I pray in Jesus' name.
