“Many are plans in a person’s heart but it is the Lord’s plans that prevail” - Prov 19:21 (NIV)

Talk of a time to be upset and yet there is little more you can do! It is this. The pandemic of corona virus has put into disarray a lot of plans of many people- if not everyone of us. Suddenly, with country after country going through a lockdown, peoples travel plans restricted, the lives of many have come to a standstill.

Organizations tend to be managed through their strategic plans. For many the year must have begun with plans to roll out. There were things to do, perhaps new offices to move in. Then came corona virus and all plans had to be put on hold.

Corona virus has also wiped out the fortunes of many, like those that invest on the stock markets. Many local traders have seen their expectations of a financial windfall plummet as they can longer move goods and sell. Hotels once filled with visitors stand empty.

One thing which is clear in all is that a man may have plans, but in the end the Lord’s plans prevail. When we plan, which is a good thing, let us never lose sight of the fact that if we do not surrender our plans to the creator God there are all but in vain, just as we are seeing today.

Prayer for today: Lord Father in heaven, today I pray in the Mighty name of Jesus of Nazareth that I put all my plans into You!
