“Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace which we now stand” - Romans 5:1-2 (NIV)

All around us the enemy is always at work trying to take away our peace through situations that can make one restless. Like waking up to some pretty devastating news of suffering loss of someone or losing an object once cherished.

Peace can indeed be elusive especially in a time like this of the corona virus pandemic with all one’s plans put in disarray. In our homes conflicts can arise from nowhere that trouble us denying us of peace.

However, here the Apostle Paul is reminding us that whatever the situation we should never lose peace - because of our faith in Jesus. Indeed if anything this is where the non believer marvels at us, because we have that peace and joy that shines through regardless of the circumstances.

Prayer for today: Lord Father in heaven, today I pray in the mighty name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth that I never lose the peace and joy of having faith in you.
