“Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen” - Hebrews 11:1 (NIV)

It is perhaps the most common object around the world- the light bulb. It’s story is as interesting. The story is that its inventor, Thomas Ava Edison, made 1,000 unsuccessful attempts at inventing the light bulb. When a reporter asked, “How did it feel to fail 1,000 times?” Edison replied, “I didn’t fail 1,000 times. The light bulb was an invention with 1,000 steps.”

In retrospect most of everything that has been accomplished in life looks so easy. Upon success it is very rare that we find many reflecting on the journey to victory. Yet if anything most success does not come easy. We know that for the Israelis getting to the Promised land was anything but a light walk.

Whatever the obstacles you may face in the way, have faith, for victory belongs to those that believe. As the Apostle Paul once shared, assured of victory, “For our present troubles are small and won’t last very long. Yet they produce for us a glory that vastly outweighs them and will last forever!” (2 Cor 4:17).

Prayer for today: Lord father God in heaven, whatever challenge I may be facing, I know you are with me and the victory that belongs in you is on my side.
