“You are all sons of the light and sons of the day. We do not belong to the night of darkness” - I Thes 5:5 (NIV)

Here is a believer at the work place. Everyone is doing things under the cover, like inflating figures from suppliers, in order to take advantage of their employer. The believer stands up and refuses to be part of such schemes. Why? Because he is a child of light!

All around us situations abound where people get employed by passing through the back door and not through the right open channels. Believers insist on doing things right and sometimes it comes at a personal cost.

However, think of it. If there are no children of light what becomes of the world then! The children of light are needed otherwise darkness will reign all over.

Prayer for today: Lord Father in heaven, today I pray that I stand out as a child of the light in the midst of the darkness around me!
