“Then call on me when you are in trouble, and I will rescue you, and you will give me glory” - Psalm 50: 15 (NIV). 

Perhaps you have heard the song, “Something good is going to happen to you!” as you should. It has numerous versions, for your information. One is about a blind man who “sat by the gate, To listen to footsteps and patiently wait. The blind man just didn't dream that this was the day, That Jesus of Nazareth would pass by his way.”

The blind man’s story is interesting in that where Jesus’s disciples seemed more concerned about the genesis of his plight, rather, that was not much of his concern. “Neither this man nor his parents sinned,” said Jesus, “but this happened so that the works of God might be displayed in him” (John 6:3). Indeed, soon, “After saying this, he spit on the ground, made some mud with the saliva, and put it on the man’s eyes.  “Go,” he told him, “wash in the Pool of Siloam” … So the man went and washed, and came home seeing” (vv 6-7).

Like the blind man, something good is going to happen to you! There are those who are more concerned and agitated about the circumstances you are in, but when Jesus passes by that would not be any of his concerns. Something good is going to happen to you- there are those who see your situation as a matter of intellectual curiosity but when Jesus passes by, that will be nothing like his concerns. Something good is going to happen to you- for, like the blind man you have sat patiently waiting- and Jesus is soon passing by!

Prayer for today: Lord Father God of Abraham, maker of heaven and earth, today I rise, with a song in my heart, it is a song of hope, for something good is going to happen to me, because I have believed and waited on Jesus, and all my troubles shall be no more, for something good is going, this  I pray in  Jesus’s name.
