“For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not harm you, plans to give you hope and a future” (Jeremiah 29:11 NIV)

Think of going out for any journey where you have no idea how it will end. That can be scary. But how about if someone who knew the very route came to volunteer to walk with you all the way. Isn’t that comforting?

When we set out on a Christian journey as followers of Christ we have the delightful knowledge that we are assured of not only reaching well but victory is on our side. We walk with one who knows the way and purposes us to succeed. Trouble is so often we ignore and chose to carry on alone. Of course, usually the end is disaster!

This is why it matters to commit all our plans to the Lord! We are already assured that the Lord’s plans are for us to prosper us, not to harm us! How do you ignore such a free offer! Commit your plans to the Lord’s leadership and all will be well.
