"In the morning, Lord, you hear my voice; in the morning I lay my requests before you and wait expectantly" ( Psalm 5:3).
When a baby cries out once in pain or in some need, for some this might be just a baby cry. However, a mother of a particular baby would certainly know when it is his own baby crying. Its not mistaken. Out of all there is that cry that penetrates through and pierces her soul to rush to the immediate rescue of the baby.
Our prayers might seem like just ordinarily cries.Yet as with a baby cry when we raise them to God He hears them with attention because we are His children. A mother easily recognises the voice of his baby; equally so, our Father in heaven recognises our individual voices. There are not mere cries but the voice of a dear child!
When you rise up in the morning or are going about through the day and hit a roadbloc know that your cry out to God is unique to Him alone. It is not just like any other cry. Babies have a certain assurance that their mother will not hesitate once she has heard their cry. And you too, as you also lay down your requests before God, know that as you raise your voice to Him, God hears that voice of yours for you are His dear child! For, a Psalm 34:17-18 says, "When the righteous cry for help, the Lord hears and delivers them out of all their troubles. The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit"
Prayer today: Lord Father God of Abraham, maker of heaven and earth, I rise in the morning to lay my request before you with my voice and which I know you hear, for you are my God and I am your child, this I pray in Jesus' name.
