“...Pray for your brothers and sisters. Keep your eyes open. Keep each other’s spirit up so that no one falls behind or drops out” - Ephesians 6:18 (NIV)

Once I had a reunion with old classmates. Not everyone could make it if course which was normal. However, there was one person who failed to turn up and the reason we understood was he preferred being to himself.

Now while this was not a meeting of the gathering of brethren, it’s also true that often we find believers who prefer to keep to themselves. They don’t gather to join and fellowship with the rest. They prefer being to themselves and their God!

Aside from forgetting what the Apostle Paul encouraged us all, “Let us not neglect meeting together, as some are in the habit ...” (Heb 10:35, BSB), there is something else that such isolation makes us miss. Praying for one another.

On that day when we met as old classmates we got acquainted with each other’s life and struggles. For believers meeting together would mean throwing light on how to pray for each other. It becomes quite impossible to pray for someone you haven’t met for a while and have no idea of the struggles in his life, because such prefers to be by themselves. So let us go out and meet, share and pray for one another, as often as we can.

Prayer for today: Lord Father in heaven, today I pray in the mighty name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, not to tire meeting with and praying for the brethren.
