"This vision is for a future time. It describes the end, and it will be fulfilled. If it seems slow in coming, wait patiently, for it will surely take place. It will not be delayed" - Habakkuk 2:3 (NIV).

The statement "Too late" is quite common vocabulary among the worldly people. For those who have no experience of the workings of God they are always running against being "too late!" One must not be "too late" to go to university or forsake the right career; not "too late to get the dream job or else miss out on it for the rest of life; not "too late" to get married or else lose out on the right mate forever; not "too late" to have kids, otherwise forget it; not "too late" to cash on the right deal or else suffer poverty for the rest of life! It is a life of racing against being "too late" or the door will be shut forever.

In God's kingdoms it is not "too late" but rather the "right time!" Abraham was never "too late to have a son but got Isaac at the "right time (Genesis 21:2)!" The prophet Moses was never "too late" but liberated the Israelites at the "right time" (Exodus 3:7-10)!" Hannah was never too late to have a son but got Samuel at the "right time! (1 Samuel 1:20)!"

And why right time? Have you ever seen a kid who gets behind steering wheels before his due birth date for driving? Well, frankly many have not survived to the right birthday. The excitement and certain naivety of falling into things before the "right time" becomes an Achilles heel, one that may even cost life.

God spares us of having certain desires fullfilled ahead of time because He knows the "right time"! Sometimes it is to mature us such that at that point when we are fully able and in position to handle all without being overwhelmed, the joy is ours. All the waiting is to spare us of that we had no idea of.

So, friend, if there is something you have been yearning for, and the time seems to take its course, do not listen to the voice of the world that it is "too late!" With God it is always the "right time!"

Prayer for today: Lord Father God of Abraham, maker of heaven and earth, today I pray for the spirit of patientience and waiting on you for you have good plans which are daily unfolding for my life, this I pray in Jesus's name.
